Hanley Ramirez

A little while back I predicted that Hanley Ramirez would be the 09 MVP. Tim Kurkjian wrote an article about how Hanley is going to be even better this year than in years past...take a look if you are interested in Hanley, the second greatest shortstop in baseball(Jeter is obviously first, no matter what).

Jeter is obviously first, no matter what? Ummm, in salary? In being overrated? In the worst defending SS category? In being the second best SS on his own team and third best in his city? Yup, Jeter's tops in those categories.

I gotcha. Sure, Jeter isn't the best on paper. But, who's a better leader? Who represents their franchise better? Derek's a Yankee, and thus he'll always be tops in my book.

And yes, I know I sound ignorant. And I'll admit that Tulowitzki, Hanley, Reyes, and lots of other shortstops have superior skills, but I don't see how you can't love Jeter and call him the best no matter what.
