I just received an email from Paul Keck, the author of The Greatest Comeback Ever, asking me to link to the website on the book. Keck describes it as "A fan's daily diary of the 1978 New York Yankees Championship Season. It's the only book ever written by a fan, live-time on a great sports season."
Keck wrote the Journal in 1978 at the age of 16, documenting all sports, but emphasizing his favorite team, the New York Yankees. It looks like a great read and I plan on ordering a copy as soon as I finish the post.
His website is 1978yankees.com and you can buy the book there or on Amazon.
