ESPN's Jerry Cransick wrote an interesting article about Abreu. Looking at Bobby's stats and his consistency Crasnick compares him to the likes of Bernie Williams, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Chase Utley, David Wright, Adrian Gonzalez, Todd Helton, Barry Bonds, and Rickey Henderson. That's some good company. He says that despite his consistent production Bobby is seen as a complementary player, rather than a star. This could be just because he simply doesn't act like a "star." Thoughts in the comments.
